  24.                          HOW TO INSTALL THE SOFTWARE

  27.   If download as resume.exe(this is a self extracting file)copy it to any
  28.   directory and run RESZIP.EXE by typing:  RESZIP  at the prompt C:\RESZIP
  29.   then run INSTALL.EXE by typing:  INSTALL  at the prompt.the install -
  30.   program will guide you through the rest of the installation.

  33.                            IF INSTALLING FROM A DISK

  37. 1. Insert disk in drive A: or B:

  41. 2. Type: INSTALL AT the A: or B: prompt.

  44. 3. The defalt drive and directory is C:\SLSRES 
  45.    You can change this at the install program in case 
  46.    there is a directory with the same name.

  49. 4. Run the file RESUME.EXE this will start the program

  53.               INSTALLING FROM WINDOWS 3.1 & 95

  56. Run RESZIP.EXE in any directory,This uncompress the files.
  57. From FILEMANAGER in WINDOWS 3.1, With the mouse click on file
  58. then click run.It will prompt you for what drive and file you
  59. want to run TYPE: A:\install or B:\install depending on which
  60. drive you have the disk in.From the taskbar in windows 95 click
  61. on the start button, Then click run from there its the same as
  62. WINDOWS 3.1, TYPE: A:\install or B:\ install when prompted.
  63. You can create a short cut from windows 3.1 with the pif editor
  64. that comes with the windows program.Windows 95 creates a pif 
  65. on its own.I've never had to create a pif myself, the program
  66. seems to run well with out it.However it is a DOS program.
  67. If running from WINDOWS you must be in the same video mode as
  68. the RESUME PROGRAM 640X480, 256 COLOR.Thats more than likely what
  69. your running it in, that seems to be the standard.If your systems
  70. memory configuration is correct you should have know problem -
  71. running this program from windows.The program may run slightly
  72. faster in the DOS mode.

  76.                      IMPROVEMENTS FROM PREVIOUS VERSION

  79. Version 3.0 now has a better screen layout.Comes with full installation
  80. program, Just type install at the prompt.Now supports new command line
  81. option: Now you can type  RESUME /G  to start the program and it will
  82. give you a menu of available video modes.To select a alternative video 
  83. mode press the letter on the keyboard thats by your selection on the -
  84. the screen and you will start in that video mode.If you make no selection
  85. resume will start in the default video mode.

  93. This is a sample of a custom computer resume program.you can make copys of
  94. your custom disk and hand them out to employers like candy.Transfer them over
  95. the enternet to find jobs.It includes a picture of yourself so employers can
  96. see what you look like.They can read your resume and print it out with a
  97. key press or mouse click.The program looks somethimg like windows program
  98. manager, large window with control buttons at the top.You can control it 
  99. with the mouse or keyboard.Press H on the keyboard or click the help button
  100. with the left mouse, once you start the program for detailed help on how
  101. to use the program.
